On 30th October, WISEe sent a team of 4 ladies to carry out installations across 13 institutions impacting over 2000 school going children in semi-arid Tharaka Nithi and other parts of Meru county. The installations were conducted over a period of two weeks and twenty suitcases donated by We Share Solar were installed. The institutions are set to benefit greatly from the use of solar energy as they have unreliable power supply. The use of energy will facilitate the reading and charging of laptops and other electronic devices.

The students and beneficiaries were impressed by the good quality of work done by the women. The students were also given a brief explanation on how the solar suitcases work to convert solar rays to electricity used to power the structures.
